Getting Here

Getting to the Chaleur Region is easy!

The Bathurst Regional Airport (ZBF) is located only 8 km away from the downtown centre. It’s a short 5-minute drive to the closest hotel – which means you’ll be checked in and ready to go before you can say “let’s get some lobster”!

The Chaleur Region is connected to VIA Rail’s Montreal-Halifax train, the Ocean. The main train station is conveniently located adjacent to the Bathurst downtown area, where you’ll find great restaurants and microbreweries.

There’s nothing quite like a road trip to the Maritimes! Three main routes bring you into the region: Trans-Canada Highway (NB-8N, NB-11S) and NB-180. If you’re driving an Electric Vehicle, the Chaleur Region has 4 convenient EV stations – part of NB Power’s eCharge Network!

Set sail to the Chaleur region! You'll find a warm welcome and a great spot to set your anchor in Petit-Rocher during the warmer months. If you're looking for something in Bathurst, you'll want to head to the Bathurst Marina with its 100 boat slips and full-service campground!

With its 8000 kilometers of managed snowmobile trails, the province of New Brunswick is a sledder's paradise. The Chaleur Region is, of course, no exception to this. Whether you're hitting the trails to conquer The Northern Odyssey, or simply passing through, you'll find countless accommodations and plenty of "white gold". Check out the Nepisiguit Snowmobile Club #1 for trail conditions!
