Nigadoo and Pointe-Verte celebrate l'Acadie

On Sunday, August 14, come take part in the activities organized by the villages of Pointe-Verte and Nigadoo!

Acadian Brunch in Pointe-Verte

The Acadian Brunch will be held at the Senator Joseph Michel Fournier Community Hall.

Schedule:

• 9 a.m. to noon: Acadian Brunch
• 9:30 a.m.: Official ceremony followed by music with JOHN BOULAY

Tickets will be on sale at the door for $5 each.

Nigadoo celebrates l'Acadie

From 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., come celebrate l'Acadie at the Sportplexe Richelieu Park in Nigadoo (116, rue du Parc, Nigadoo).

Schedule (all activities are FREE!):

From 1:30 p.m.:

• Pabineau First Nation Ceremony
• Inflatable games
• BBQ offered for free
• Children's face painting
• Le Paradis Mini Farm and pony rides
• Walking acrobat artists

From 2 p.m.:

• Official ceremony and cutting of the cake
• Music: Zakoustik
• Magician: Allard Robichaud - Magic Illusion Mentalism
• Photo Booth

The village of Nigadoo invites people to bring your own chairs on this activity-filled afternoon.

*In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled. Music with ZAKOUSTIK and certain activities will be postponed to a later date. A message will be posted on the village's Facebook page on the day of the event, Sunday August 14.
